I agree with your philosophy, usually I look at 3 different recipes and use different things from different places.

How about this for a variation? Just trim your Asparagus as usual and bung 'em in a ziplock bag with a couple of glugs of your favourite Italian dressing. Stick 'em in the fridge for 30 mins or so and then grill them as you suggest.
They're GRRRRRRREEEEEEEAAAT!
p.s. Loved your Grill It! show.

What a great concept! I used to grill chicken a lot but my wife started getting sick of it; she would say, "I'll have anything for dinner tonight, except chicken!"

Adding different toppings is a great idea and this tom-cado topped chicken sounds great. In addition to covering the mixture with plastic wrap, a little lime juice would also slow the browning (oxidation) of the avocado.

I think a nice fresh mango salsa would also go great over some grilled chicken, or maybe a quick black bean and corn relish.

As always, great post, great work. I just did a summer fruit with cream parfait with simple syrup. If you have the time come by and take a look. I made a quick cream with whipping cream, sour cream and honey.

Looks like a great summer salad :) Will definitely be trying this one.

I make an orzo pasta salad using a lot of similar veggies (usually whatever fresh veggies I have on hand), but I make a balsamic bacon vinaigrette with it which I'm sure would be really good with your salad as well.

To make, cut up a 3-4 slices of bacon into small pieces. Fry until crispy in a large pot. Discard some of the bacon grease (keeping about 1 tbsp for flavour). Remove from heat and add a few tbsp of balsamic vinegar and some olive oil, salt and pepper. Add veggies and cooked orzo pasta and toss until coated with vinaigrette! Yummy!

Snow peas, bell peppers, mushrooms are really good in the pasta salad too!
